DreamCatcher Music Studio

Audio Engineering

Larry is an experienced audio engineer.  It all started with a TEAC 3340 4-track tape deck and some microphones he bought from Russ Berger of Arnold and Morgan Music in Dallas.  Russ has since become a living legend as one of the finest recording studio designers in the world.  He taught Larry his first lessons in audio engineering when Larry was a studio musician at Highgrove House.  Larry’s humble beginnings with that TEAC analog 4 track, were followed years later by designing and building a 16 track Tascam studio. Years afterwards, he moved into the digital world with the fully functional DreamCatcher Music Studio.  DreamCatcher has experience recording full bands, backing tracks, solo CDs, spoken word and are available to accompany your music should you need.  If you need us to master your tracks or record your vocal and mix or lay down a guitar solo we can do that too.  We have musicians on hand should we need their services and welcome any recording questions you may have.

Building DreamCatcher Music Studio

Building DreamCatcher Music Studio meant installing sound treatment for all corners and making 6 – 2×4 ft. Rockwool sound panels, floating them strategically to absorb the mid-range and low-end frequencies.   It also meant countless hours writing new software which imports data from room analysis programs into Pro Tools EQ preset settings, providing us the ability to create an extremely flat room response while limiting standing waves.  This  makes it possible to achieve the premier “what you hear is what you get” outcome.  Here’s a short tour from a mixing session of “Waltz In Barcelona”

All of the songs you hear on Larry’s sites were engineered in one or more of the three studios mentioned above.  For more information on his recordings see the About Page or click on Albums in the menu above.
